PixelPaddle Supports IEC-BC MentorConnect Initiative to Strengthen BC’s Talent Ecosystem

At PixelPaddle, we strongly believe that innovation ecosystems thrive when industry leaders, entrepreneurs, newcomers, and emerging talent come together to learn, collaborate, and grow. In line with this vision, our CEO, Meer Anwar, participated in the recent IEC-BC MentorConnect Mixer, hosted by the Immigrant Employment Council of BC (IEC-BC) in collaboration with Best Buy Canada on November 13.

The event brought together mentors, mentees, employers, and ecosystem partners from across British Columbia to share experiences, success stories, and practical insights around workforce integration, mentorship, and career development. Through initiatives like #MentorConnect, IEC-BC continues to create meaningful pathways connecting immigrant talent with industry professionals and employers across the province.

The evening also highlighted the growing commitment of leading organizations such as TELUS, BC Hydro, RBC, Deloitte, Vancouver Coastal Health, Best Buy Canada, and several municipalities and institutions that are actively contributing toward a more inclusive and future-ready workforce. Supported by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the Government of British Columbia, the initiative demonstrates how collaboration between industry, government, academia, and community organizations can strengthen both economic growth and social impact.

As a technology company operating at the intersection of innovation, immersive experiences, and ecosystem development, PixelPaddle remains committed to supporting newcomer entrepreneurs, young startups, and local talent by facilitating mentorship, industry connections, and exposure to emerging technologies. We recognize that talent is one of British Columbia’s greatest assets, and empowering individuals with the right guidance and opportunities is essential to building a stronger and more globally competitive innovation ecosystem.

PixelPaddle appreciates IEC-BC and its partners for organizing impactful initiatives like MentorConnect and looks forward to continuing its contribution toward supporting diverse talent and strengthening British Columbia’s entrepreneurial and technology communities.
